Thin Hair Styles
Thin Hair Styles present a challenge to most of us. Especially with thin hair, your hairstyle may be dictated by what you can do design wise. The key either way is to get your hair looking full and thick. With that said, there are some styles that will make your hair feel and look full and with bosy and there are hair thickening products that can hel p.
-
Bob Cut - Like the picture, the bob or a short style will give the impression of thickness that can be accentuated with curls, tossing, and teasing. Sometimes a small amount of hairspray can help - though we suggest avoiding gels or mousse.
-
Pony Tail - Though the "tail" part pf the ponytail may look thin, the hair flat to your head and pulled back avoids the advertisement your hair is thin. Again, some light curling and hairspray can make the tail look fuller.
-
Curls - While curls always look good, especially with shorter hair, be careful. This happens to be one of those styles that will look better or falt out fail - sorry for the pun. Generally, smaller curls work best.
We do have a couple of other do's and don'ts for thin hair styles:
-
Do use hair thickening products. Specialialized shampoos and conditioners can actually make your hair thicker...not just make it look thicker as some products do. See our thicker hair kit below.
-
Don't leave your hair long and flat. Avoid parting in the middle or on the side. It will only make thin hair look thinner.
